Der Kartenhalter
A one-piece folding card holder made from vegetable-tanned cow leather sourced in Germany. The construction is kept as minimal as possible, without lining or additional parts, so the material itself does the work.
The leather is firm at the beginning. It holds the cards in place and gives the object its structure. With use, it softens, darkens and develops a surface that reflects how it is carried over time.
The open card slots allow direct access and hold up to nine cards. The inside remains raw, while the outside carries the oxidation finish and will continue to change through use.
